The Bastyr University Hapkido club was created in 2003 to provide a place where the students of Bastyr University could train in the art of Sinmoo Hapkido as they pursue advanced degrees in Natural Medicine. Bastyr University is the top university for Naturopathic Medicine and is also a leader in the studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine, being one of the first universities in the United States to offer a PhD in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The Bastyr Hapkido Club has had members graduate as Doctors of Naturopathic Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturists, Herbalists, Psycologists and Nutritionists.
